I am still living in Detroit. My daughter just graduated from high school (08!, LOL). I am currently a government analyst. I am also a poet. I was featured in the March 2007 issue of Essence, pg 189. Here is the featured poem.

He wanted me
To b...Expand for more
e a flowing river
Eternally supplying his needs
Him, closed off
Always receiving
Me, feeding him a feast
Him, giving me
Dried up crumbled promises
Only for him to walk away
Me, dangling
Like charms on a bracelet
Along with all the others
